『自然淘汰』を英語で言うと natural selection だそうです。
これ、日本語で『自然選択』とも言うので、そちらの方に近い感じです。

natural selection　
the process by which plants, animals, etc. that can adapt to their environment survive and produce young, while the others disappear
「自然淘汰：環境に適応できる植物や動物などが生き残り、子孫を残し、それ以外のものが消えていく過程」
だそうです。
