株用語のIPOは Initial Public Offering の略で、日本語では『新規株式公開』と言われています。
ネットで見た英語での説明では An Initial Public Offering (IPO) is when a private company offers shares to the public for the first time, allowing it to raise money from investors and become publicly traded. IPOs can give investors early access to growing companies, but they can also come with added risk and price volatility. のようになっていました。 これは 「新規株式公開（IPO）とは、非上場企業が初めて一般に株式を公開し、投資家から資金を調達して上場企業となることを指す。IPOは、投資家に成長企業への早期参入の機会をもたらす一方で、追加的なリスクや株価の変動を伴うこともある。」 ということですね。
ちなみにABS チャレンジシステムのルールはこういうことらしいです。 ABS CHALLENGE RULES: ABSチャレンジのルール Each team will get two challenges and can keep them if they’re successful 「各チームには2回のチャレンジ権が与えられ、チャレンジが成功した場合はその権利を保持できる」

これは、米国の Immigration and Customs Enforcement の略で 英辞郎での訳は『 移民税関捜査局 』となっていました。 Wikipedia では United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement 『アメリカ合衆国移民・関税執行局』として項目が立っています。
これは野球で無死満塁のチャンスがありながら、 結局チームが1点も奪えなかった状況を指し、 “No-Outs Bases-Loaded Ending with Team Incapable of Getting Easy Run” 「ノーアウト満塁の場面で、チームが簡単な得点すら奪えないまま終了」 の頭文字からできた言葉だそうです。 略語・頭字語だったんですね。
“Left on base” refers to runners remaining on base when the teams switch between offense and defense in baseball. Or, it refers to the number of runners left on base. 「残塁」とは、野球で攻守交替のとき、塁上にランナーが残っていること。 あるいは、その塁上に残ったランナーの数。
being strandedという表現も『残塁』の意味で英辞郎に出てました。 stranded には『（船が）座礁した、（人、乗り物が）動けなくなった』の意味が有りますが、野球ではこれが『残塁の』の意味になるそうです。
最近、Xでこんなポストがありました。 10 runners left on base for the Dodgers… 「ドジャースは10残塁・・・」
MLB用語のILは、Injured List 「故障者リスト」の略ですね。 この言い方になったのは、2018-2019のオフシーズンからだそうです。 （それ以前、 故障者リストはDL=Disabled List と呼ばれていましたが、disabled が身体障害の意味にもなるため、混同を避ける言い方に変わったとのこと。）
MLBに関するニュースやポストで、このILはよく出てきます。
例えば Manager Dave Roberts provided an ominous update on Kirby Yates, who was placed on the IL Friday. 「デイブ・ロバーツ監督が、金曜日に故障者リスト入りしたカービー・イェーツについて不吉な最新情報を発表しました。」
