Today is the last broadcast day of “THE DANGERS IN MY HEART” anime season 2, so it seems a little late to post this, but I also took pictures of the (model) ramen shop, so I’ll post it here.
今日が「僕ヤバ」アニメシーズン2の最終回放送日なので、今さら感は有りますが、あのラーメン屋（のモデル）の写真も撮ってたので貼っときます。

In the manga and anime, the name of the store is changed a little, but it exists almost exactly as it is. The nearest station is Mita Station on the subway.
マンガ・アニメではちょっとだけ店の名前変えてますけど、ほぼそのまんまで存在します。最寄り駅は地下鉄の三田駅ですね。

Unfortunately, I don’t have the confidence to enter this restaurant because I have a small appetite.
残念ながら、ぼくは小食なのでこのお店に入る自信がありません。

This ramen shop scene appears in the manga’s seventh volume and the anime’s second season, episode 9.
このラーメン屋のシーンが出てくるのは、マンガ第7巻、アニメ第2期9話です。

In the anime season 2- Ep.5 (manga volume 6) of ” THE DANGERS IN MY HEART “, there is a story about the main character Ichikawa going to the site of Yamada’s modeling shoot, and that place is Yebisu Garden Place.
「僕の心のヤバイやつ」のアニメシーズン2-Ep.5（マンガ第6巻）に主人公の市川が山田のモデル撮影の現場に行く話が有りましたが、あの場所は恵比寿ガーデンプレイスですね。

This Yebisu Garden Place is a commercial complex created through the redevelopment of the former site of the brewery for “Yebisu Beer”.
It is connected to the East Exit of JR Ebisu Station by the Skywalk, a passageway with moving walkways.
この恵比寿ガーデンプレイスは、「ヱビスビール」の醸造場の跡地の再開発でできた複合商業施設です。
JR恵比寿駅の東口と、動く歩道のある通路「スカイウォーク」で結ばれています。

There is a convenience store nearby where Ichikawa might have stopped by.
市川が寄ったかもしれないコンビニが近くに有ります。

Perhaps because of the image of the original brewery, Yebisu Garden Place has classical buildings with brick and stone exteriors that house many restaurants and stores.
元の醸造所のイメージからか、恵比寿ガーデンプレイスには外装にレンガや石を使ったクラシカルな建物があり、レストランやショップが多く入っています。

It seems that the model shoots in the anime ”Boku Yaba” took place mainly around the marble entrance of the chateau restaurant Joel Robuchon.
アニメ僕ヤバの中のモデル撮影は、主にシャトーレストラン「ジョエル・ロブション」の大理石を使ったエントランス周辺で行われていたようです。

It may be noted that the English name for the station is “Ebisu Station,” while the name of the Place is “Yebisu Garden Place” which begins with the letter Y.
恵比寿駅は英語で「 Ebisu Station 」なのに、恵比寿ガーデンプレースは Yで始まる 「Yebisu Garden Place」 ので注意が必要かもしれません。

blamestormingって何❓―🗣️―#つぶやき英単語 2523

最近、blamestorming という単語を見かけました。
これは何？

これが、brainstorming（ブレインストーミング ）なら、
自由な発想から集団でアイデアを出し合う創造的な話し合いのことですね。
社員研修とかでやった気がします。

当然ながら、blamestormingは全く違う意味で、
『(失敗や間違いの)責任を擦り付ける話し合い、失敗の原因や責任の所在を話し合うこと』だそうです。（なにこれ、こわい）

この二つ似てて紛らわしいなと思ったら、それもそのはずで
ブレームストーミングはブレインストーミングをもじってできた言葉らしいです。

同じ話し合いでも、ずいぶん違うものですね。
失敗の原因をはっきりさせることは必要でしょうけど、
どうせならポジティブな方向で議論したいところです。

pantyhose は『パンティーストッキング』のことだそうです。
これは主に米国で使われ、英国ではtights と言うようです。

hose と言ったら、イメージは水まいたりする『ホース』じゃないですか。
なんで hose がついててパンスト？

実は、hoseを辞書で見ると『ストッキング、ソックス』の意味も有るのです。
hoseの語源は「おおうもの」の意味の古代英語だそうですから、むしろストッキングは本来の意味の近い感じですね。

パンティーストッキングは和製英語と辞書に書いてありますので、
pantyhoseと覚えておいた方がいいですね。
ぼくにはあまり使う機会はないかもしれませんが。

英語で『歩道橋』は、
footbridge、pedestrian bridge や pedestrian overpass 等と言います。

A nearby pedestrian bridge had recently been renovated.
This one with its spiral staircase looked interesting, so I took a picture .
最近、近くの歩道橋が改修されていました。
螺旋階段があるのが面白く見えたので、写真を撮りました。

ぼくは歩道橋もけっこう好きですけど、
車のために人が階段を上り下りするというのが嫌いな人がいるのは分かります。
バリアフリーではないですしね。

『メディアに話す』は、address the media でいいみたいです。

水谷一平氏のことですね。

水谷通訳の件がいろいろな憶測を呼んでいるので
大谷選手本人がはっきり説明することが大切だと思います。

The the place of the Hatsumode (first visit of the year to a temple) in the manga/anime “The Dangers in My Heart” is the Buddhism Tendai sect temple “Ryusen-ji”, which is generally better known by the name “Meguro Fudoson”.
マンガ・アニメの「僕の心のヤバイやつ」の初詣シーンの舞台は、「目黒不動尊」の通称で知られる天台宗のお寺「瀧泉寺」です。

This temple is located in Shimo-Meguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo, and the nearest station is Fudo-mae on the Tokyu Meguro Line. Although the name of the station is “Fudo-mae” (literally meaning “in front of Fudoson”), the temple is about a 15-minute walk away from the station.
このお寺は目黒区下目黒にあり、最寄り駅は東急目黒線の不動前です。不動前という駅名ですが、駅から目黒不動尊まで徒歩で15分くらいかかります。

The vermilion color of the temple and banners in the photos is so vivid that it looks like something out of the anime.
写真でも社殿や幟の朱色が鮮やかで、何かアニメの中の絵のようにも見えます。

During the New Year’s season, it seems to be lively with many stalls, but when I went there, the atmosphere was rather calm.
お正月の時期には露店がたくさん出て賑やかなようですが、私が行ったときはどちらかというと落ち着いた雰囲気でした。

In the manga, Fudo Myoo of this temple makes a small appearance (?) in the scene where Ichikawa and Yamada are joining their hands in prayer, so be sure to check it out.
マンガでは、市川と山田が手を合わせてお祈りしているシーンで、このお寺の不動明王様も小さく一コマ出演(?)しているので要チェックです。

This temple scene can be found in the fourth volume of the manga and the twelfth episode of the first anime season.
このお寺のシーンはマンガ第4巻、アニメシーズン1の第12話に出ています。

英語で桜の「早咲き・遅咲き」は❓―🌸―＃つぶやき英単語 2517

桜と一口に言ってもいろいろな種類があり、
花が咲く時期が早いものと遅いものがあるようです。

そういう『早咲き・遅咲き』というのを、英語では何と言うでしょうか？

桜について『早咲きの』という場合、early blooming が使われます。
これに対する『遅咲きの』は late blooming になります。
（場合により、early や late だけでも『早咲きの』『遅咲きの』の意味になるようです。）

『早咲きの花(木)』や『遅咲きの花(木)』という意味では
early bloomer 、late bloomer という言葉が使われます。

（例文）I took a picture of the cherry blossoms a few days ago, and I think it is fair to say that the cherry tree is an early bloomer.
数日前に桜の花の写真を撮ったのですが、この桜の木は早咲きと言っていいと思います。

日本語でも人の才能の早咲き・遅咲きというような比喩的な表現を使いますが、英語でも同じような表現が可能です。

（例文）
While there are precocious artistic geniuses, there are also great late blooming artists.
「早熟な芸術的天才もいる一方、遅咲きの偉大な芸術家もいる」

ここで、『早熟の』という意味で precocious という単語を使いましたが、
この単語は植物について『早咲きの、早なりの』という場合でも使えるそうです。
