株用語のIPOは Initial Public Offering の略で、日本語では『新規株式公開』と言われています。
ネットで見た英語での説明では An Initial Public Offering (IPO) is when a private company offers shares to the public for the first time, allowing it to raise money from investors and become publicly traded. IPOs can give investors early access to growing companies, but they can also come with added risk and price volatility. のようになっていました。 これは 「新規株式公開（IPO）とは、非上場企業が初めて一般に株式を公開し、投資家から資金を調達して上場企業となることを指す。IPOは、投資家に成長企業への早期参入の機会をもたらす一方で、追加的なリスクや株価の変動を伴うこともある。」 ということですね。
ちなみにABS チャレンジシステムのルールはこういうことらしいです。 ABS CHALLENGE RULES: ABSチャレンジのルール Each team will get two challenges and can keep them if they’re successful 「各チームには2回のチャレンジ権が与えられ、チャレンジが成功した場合はその権利を保持できる」
Challenges can only be initiated by a pitcher, catcher, or batter, and the request must come right after the pitch 「チャレンジは投手、捕手、または打者のみが申し出ることができ、その要求は投球直後に行わなければならない」
