「木を見て森を見ず」に当たる英語表現は、
can’t see the forest for trees だそうです。

THE FREE DICTIONARYの説明によると、can’t see the forest for treesは
Cannot see, understand, or focus on a situation in its entirety due to being preoccupied with minor details.
「些細なことに気を取られて、状況全体を見たり、理解したり、集中したりすることができない」ということです。
使ってみましょう。
He is so invested in this project that he cannot see the forest for the trees.
「彼はこのプロジェクトに入れ込み過ぎ、木を見て森を見ずになっている」
こういうことありますよね。
成功するには、同時に細部と全体を見る目が必要だと思います。
