鳥が何かに止まるということを英語で言う時に、動詞は何を使ったらいいでしょうか。
perch という動詞でOK！
perch on ～の形で『（鳥が）～に止まる』の意味になります。
（perch は名詞では『止まり木』の意味です。）
使ってみました。
The number of spectators for the rugby match between Panasonic Wild Knights and Canon Eagles in Kumagaya was announced as 6436.
But take a look at this photo of the venue.
Can’t you see a crow perched on the goal post?
Shouldn’t we say the spectators are 6436 people plus one crow?
「熊谷で行われたパナソニックワイルドナイツとキャノンイーグルスのラグビーの試合観客数は6436人と発表されました。しかし、この会場の写真を見てください。
ゴールポストにカラスが止まっているの分かりません？
これ観客数は6436人+1羽と言うべきでは？」
