『敬老の日』は英語では Respect for the Aged Day だそうです。

Respect for the Aged Day is one of the national holidays in Japan and is a day to honor the elderly.
It used to be on September 15, but now it is on the third Monday of September.
「敬老の日」は日本の国民の祝日の一つで、高齢者に敬意を示すための日です。
以前は9月15日でしたが、今は9月の第3月曜日になっています。

時間は勝手に過ぎていくものなので、
いつの間にかお祝いされる側になってたりするものなのですよ。
